This 1979 home in Westport, CT, needed a fresh vision, which was entrusted to CRS by a growing family relocating from Brooklyn. We replaced inefficient windows throughout the home and reimagined the dining room. The exterior was refreshed with a modern paint scheme that blends with the natural surroundings. The central column, which encompassed the fireplace and staircase, was enhanced with fluted wood paneling, while the stairs and railings were updated to reflect the home’s vintage in a modern way. A storage component was added to the column, serving the breakfast area and living room. The outdated kitchen was relocated to improve the flow and connection of the spaces.
